Thank you for your email. I have already sent a separate email to Mark Howard regarding his request to delay the report going to Cabinet next Monday. In this email I made the point that the Cabinet report on the Hoylake Golf Resort enables the project to move to the next stage at no cost to the Council and the various studies that will be commissioned will be important to inform whether this project can secure planning permission or not.
The report to Cabinet takes no final decision on the Hoylake Golf resort project, and crucially, the funding plan outlined in the report will not be actioned until the project has received planning permission. There will be plenty of opportunity to consider Hoylake Village Life’s proposals while at the same time getting on with commissioning these important studies. It is therefore my intention to ask Cabinet to agree to move forward to the next stage on 18 December 2017.
