Hoylake Vision are pleased to report a significant success – after four years of hard work our draft Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) has been accepted by Wirral Borough Council following prolonged scrutiny by the many concerned agencies.
The Council will now make the Plan available for public consultation from 9 November to 22 December in the following ways:

- Hoylake Library, Market Street

The Council’s formal notice states: “The Hoylake Community Planning Forum has submitted a proposed Neighbourhood Development Plan to the Council for publicity and examination. The proposals can be viewed on the Council’s website at http://www.wirral.gov.uk/planning-and-building/local-plans-and-planning-policy/neighbourhood-planning/hoylake. The NDP sets out key policies and priorities derived from earlier public consultations and analysis which aim to set out how Hoylake should develop based on what you and other residents/businesses have identified as being important aspects, features and priorities for the future of the town. The Plan will – if agreed by voters at a Referendum likely to be held in early 2016 – become a statutory planning document to accompany other local and national policies.
Once approved or “made”, the NDP will establish the framework which would inform, for instance, the response to the prospective plans to demolish and redevelop the Presbyterian Church in Alderley Road.
In addition, the Council’s proposal to establish a Golf Resort would be required to comply with the NDP policies where they impact on the plan area.
