OK. I am looking to avoid the dreaded uPVC Windows.
The building is significant physically and emotionally. It is in the KGCA but unlisted so we should do our best to retain the crenellated roof feature and the decorative brickwork both mentioned in the CA appraisal as well as the protections afforded by other policies.
Carry on!

In response:
Retention of decorative brickwork is highlighted in the drawings and the ‘crenellated’ roofline it also retained.
Framework is marine grade power coated aluminium.
No PVC anywhere near this!
In the absence of any other comment I will revert to them informally?
Whilst acknowledging this is a temporary solution pending a longer term approach, we would like to see an alternative proposal at this stage to the ground floor shuttering since that materially diminishes the significant character of the building (Policy DI1 and DI3).
We would not support further residential conversion in other parts of the scheme in future, in favour of development of more visitor facilities (Policy and Masterplan area BR1).
